Unlike traditional box cargo bikes, a longtail is as narrow as a regular bicycle, but slightly longer at the rear to provide space for passengers and cargo. This allows you to easily ride on regular bike lanes, park conveniently, and maneuver in urban environments without the bike feeling large or bulky.

 

RAWBIKE Longtail is designed to replace many short everyday car trips – whether you're dropping off the kids, grocery shopping, or transporting gear.

One of the biggest advantages of a longtail bike is its flexibility. RAWBIKE Longtail can easily be adapted to your needs.

 

If you want to transport children, there is space for up to two child seats, or you can mount seat pads, footrests, and a safety bar to create a safe seating area on the rear rack.

 

If you instead want to transport cargo, you can use the two AVS+ mounts included with the bike. Each mount supports a load of up to 27 kg, allowing you to attach boxes, baskets, or other transport solutions.

 

The rear rack also supports a maximum load of 75 kg, making RAWBIKE Longtail one of the most versatile cargo bikes in its class.

Moped class 2

A class 2 moped is equipped with a motor between 250 W and 1000 W and can reach a maximum speed of 25 km/h using a throttle, along with pedal assistance. To operate this type of moped, you must be at least 15 years old and hold a driving certificate for class 2 mopeds. However, if you turned 15 before October 2009, no driving certificate is required.

To drive the moped, a helmet is mandatory, as well as at least third-party liability insurance. It is also recommended to obtain partial insurance for theft protection.

The moped should be ridden on bicycle paths unless signage indicates "no mopeds."

Bicycle

The moped should be ridden on bicycle paths unless signage indicates "no mopeds."

Bicycle

A bicycle may have a motor of up to 250 W, and the motor should primarily provide power only through pedaling. Our e-bikes are equipped with a throttle, but this is limited to 5 km/h (walk assist).

The e-bike does not require a driving certificate or special insurance, as it is typically covered under home insurance. However, we still recommend contacting your insurance company to check the specific terms for your situation.

The difference between a speed sensor and a torque sensor on an e-bike

 

A speed sensor detects when you start pedaling and provides motor power based on that. The motor delivers a preset level of assistance regardless of how hard you press on the pedals. This creates a simple and powerful riding experience, often perceived as stronger and more like a moped feel. This means you never have to feel sweaty.
